Our story

Why we founded Loki

Loki was founded on the recognition that innovation skills are increasingly essential yet unevenly distributed across society. Founders Charlie Tuxworth and Kathryn Lynch have decades of experience helping organisations innovate and transform.

They've observed firsthand how innovation capability can determine business success - yet these competencies are often locked behind expensive consultancy arrangements or academic qualifications, putting them out of reach for most people.

The name derives from Norse mythology. Loki, the god of change and transformation - frequently associated with challenging established patterns - captures the foundation's spirit: disrupting the status quo to create widespread impact through consistent, scalable innovation approaches.

Enterprise software programme manager and business strategist with experience across public and private sectors. Appointed industrial advisor to the Irish public sector and EU working groups, and Chair of the Small Business and Enterprise Council.

Brings deep expertise in stakeholder engagement and programme delivery at scale.

Charlie Tuxworth

Co-Founder

Over 25 years leading enterprise software development projects. Industrial advisor to Queen's University Belfast CSIT and Ulster University CSPT.

Conceived and created the Competency Framework for Innovation Management underlying the Loki platform, informing new international standards for innovation competence.

Loki operates with a diverse advisory board drawn from education, industry, government, and civil society - providing strategic guidance and ensuring transparency and accountability across the foundation.
